The women’s affairs unit, in cooperation with the accounting techniques Department, organized an educational workshop entitled ( transition to electronic payment ).
The workshop delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Musa Hamid, head of the department, aims to introduce the attendees to the modern trends of the transition towards electronic payment as an alternative to traditional fiat currency.
The workshop included several topics, including an introduction to electronic payment methods, forms of electronic money, types of electronic services, infrastructures of electronic payment systems, advantages and risks of electronic payment.
At the end of the workshop, which was attended by a number of members of the institute, the organizers recommended the need to create appropriate conditions and provide the infrastructure for electronic payment methods and raise awareness among the community of the importance of switching to electronic payment.
