Assistant Professor Dr. Nidal Abdullah Hashim, a faculty member in the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the Technical Institute of Amarah, chaired the master’s thesis defense committee for the student Huda Abdul Kareem Owaid. The defense took place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in the Ibn Sina Hall at the College of Health and Medical Technologies – University of Basrah.

The thesis was entitled:
“The Efficiency of Some Novel Hematological Biomarkers in Diagnosing Breast Cancer.”

The session witnessed in-depth scientific discussions that enriched the content of the thesis and contributed to its precise evaluation. At the conclusion of the session, the committee recommended accepting the thesis and granting it a grade of “Excellent.”

The selection of Dr. Nidal to chair the scientific committee reflects her esteemed academic standing and serves as evidence of the competence and expertise of the staff at the Technical Institute of Amarah in supporting scientific research and actively contributing to the development of postgraduate programs in Iraqi universities.
