The Department of nursing techniques in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit organized a scientific course on health care services and programs for the elderly, presented by Assistant Teacher Raad Hashim Zubin.
The course aims to introduce the most important health, preventive, therapeutic and nutritional services provided to the elderly.
The course included several topics, the most important of which is how to improve the quality of life for the elderly through follow-up and early detection of physical, social and psychological health problems, as well as the effective role of society and family in contributing to improving health care for the elderly and practicing sports and recreational activities for them.
The session, which was attended by a number of members of the Institute, concluded that it is necessary to enact and legislate laws that contribute to the care of this important segment of society in order to ensure a decent and safe life.
